epilot. Design principles

To give you a very small insight on how our designers work we outline parts of our design principles here.

#1 Give users control

Keeping users in control makes them comfortable; they will learn quickly and gain a sense of mastery. This can for example be done by making actions reversible - this allows users to explore the product without the constant fear of failure.

#2 Create a joyful interaction

No one wants to work with a tool which you is pain in the a** to work with. Therefore our designers always strive for making it joyful to interact with our product.

#3 Clarify complexity

Cognitive load is the amount of mental processing power required to use a product. It's better to avoid making users think/work too hard to use your products.

#4 Uniquely unified

Consistency is essential property of good UI - consistent design is intuitive design. Cosistancy is one of the strongest contributors to usability and learnability. Visual consistency for instance means that users should never question the integrity of a product.
